Happy new year from Michi No Eki Aso!
I hope you have a nice start of 2023.
Aso is center of Kyushu southern island in Japan. I had never expected snow in winter before I had visited in peak of mountain.
Radio DJ said Sakura will bloom sooner in Kumamoto city. Aso is snow land indeed. This morning was -3 degrees.
This is Nakadake crater. You can look down this from observatory. Aso people say “crater is the breath of earth”.
I love to take a hot spring in winter. Outside is frozen like inside refrigerator therefore take a bath make me relax and get warm than gratitude of blessing of active volcano.
Asonoyu hot spring and accommodation in Uchinomaki have new year decoration. She is good English speaker.
This is Osechi new year plate specialities. I had lunch with family. Let’s hope 2023 bring many happiness.
Koga fall is all frozen from top to bottom completely this winter.
