Hi, I’m Kazu✌✌✌

The Federal Reserve decided to raise interest rates for the first time in three years and two months, while emphasizing its commitment to curbing inflation. This prompted increased selling of the yen and buying of the U.S. dollar in the foreign exchange market, causing the yen to weaken by about ¥1 at one point, with the exchange rate reaching the ¥156-per-dollar range.
Some reports suggest that market participants are expecting the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates once again at its next meeting later this year. If that happens, the trend of buying the U.S. dollar, with its higher interest rates, while selling the Japanese yen, whose rates remain relatively lower, could continue for some time.
If so, wouldn’t this also make traveling to Aso more affordable for visitors from overseas?

With the yen remaining relatively weak against major currencies, there’s never been a better time to visit Aso!
