A Day in Kimono at Aso Shrine｜A Traditional Japanese Experience

Hi my name is Wendy an intern from Taiwan.
One of the experiences I had been looking forward to the most during my internship was wearing a kimono.

This time, my friend and I finally had the chance to dress in beautiful kimonos and visit Aso Shrine, making us feel like we had traveled back in time.

⛩️ Visiting Aso Shrine in Kimono

As soon as we put on our kimonos, the whole atmosphere felt different.

Walking through the streets in traditional Japanese clothing made the experience even more special. We couldn’t stop taking photos because every corner looked like a scene from a movie.

When we arrived at Aso Shrine, the huge wooden gate and traditional architecture looked even more beautiful with our kimonos.

It was the perfect place to experience Japanese history and culture.


📸 Taking Lots of Photos

Of course, we took countless photos!

The colorful kimonos looked amazing against the traditional buildings, and every picture turned out beautifully.

I think wearing a kimono is one of the best ways to experience Japanese culture, and it made this trip even more memorable.

🍵 Relaxing with Tea

After walking around the shrine, we stopped for a relaxing tea break.

Sitting down with a cup of Japanese tea after exploring the shrine was so peaceful.

The slow pace and quiet atmosphere made me appreciate this traditional Japanese lifestyle even more.



🥩 Trying Beef Skewers

One thing you definitely shouldn’t miss around Aso Shrine is the beef skewers!

The beef was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Every bite was delicious, and it was one of my favorite snacks of the day.

Walking around in a kimono while enjoying local food made the whole experience feel even more authentic.
