When visiting Kusasenri in Aso, please make sure to keep a safe distance from the horses grazing in the area.
Recently, there have been cases of visitors being kicked or bitten after getting too close to grazing horses. Although some information on social media may suggest that visitors can touch or interact with the horses at Kusasenri, this is incorrect. The horses in the grazing area are not animals for visitors to touch, feed, or take close-up photos with.

Kusasenri is a grazing area where cattle and horses have priority, as well as an important natural landscape of Aso. For your own safety, to avoid causing stress to the animals, and to help prevent the spread of livestock diseases, please follow the rules below:
- Do not approach grazing horses.
- Do not touch, feed, or try to take photos with the horses.
- Please keep a distance of at least 30 meters from the horses.
- Do not enter grazing areas or cross fences.
- When taking photos, please keep your distance and follow all on-site signs and staff instructions.
Even if the horses appear calm, they may suddenly kick or bite if they feel surprised, stressed, or uncomfortable. Please enjoy the beautiful scenery of Kusasenri safely by observing the horses from a distance.
