令和7年度 「中江岩戸神楽」定期公演 が開幕いたします。

次回公演は 5月4日（日）。
以降は 10月を除く各第1日曜日 に開催され、最終公演は11月2日（日） となります。
12月以降は冬季休業となります。

観覧は無料 ですので、ぜひこの機会に伝統芸能をご覧ください。

中江岩戸神楽とは

中江岩戸神楽は、200年以上の歴史を持つ伝統芸能です。
阿蘇市波野中江地区に伝わり、現在は「中江岩戸神楽保存会」 が33座の神楽を郷土芸能として受け継いでいます。

この神楽には楽譜や書かれた資料が存在せず、すべての舞は 師匠から弟子へ、言葉と体を通して伝承 されてきました。
笛・カネ・太鼓の三拍子が舞手の呼吸と重なり、神々のメッセージを伝えるかのような迫力 ある演舞が繰り広げられます。

定期公演では、33座ある舞の中から毎回5座を披露。
公演は、未来を担う小学生の候補生による 「五方礼始（ごほうれいし）」 から始まります。

また、青年衆による「神楽男子」 も人気を集めています。
