HI, I’m Kazu, it’s been a while since I last updated my blog, but I hope everyone’s been doing well!”
By the way, today I’d like to introduce a soba restaurant run by one of my classmates from junior high and high school, located in Sakanashi area near Michi-no-Eki Aso by driving 20 minutes or so.
Surrounded by the great nature of Aso, this restaurant offers a traditional Japanese atmosphere inside a classic old-style house, where you can enjoy delicious soba—one of the traditional Japanese dishes registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage—without a doubt!

A big signboard along Route 57 makes it easy to spot. 👇

Alright then, let’s step inside together and explore the nostalgic atmosphere of the restaurant. 👇

The rich assortment of pickles we take pride in is yet another glimpse into the nostalgic beauty of rural Japan. 👇

I tried comparing the two types of broth I personally wanted to taste—walnut broth and traditional soba broth. 👇

Personally, I’ve got to say—the walnut broth was absolutely amazing!! 👇

And finally, the owner, who’s my old classmate, and his son… I guess they’re just a tiny bit more handsome than me. Just a tiny bit!” 😉

Alright folks, I’m not sure when I’ll write my next blog, but until then, let’s all stay well and keep smiling! ♪👋👋👋👋
