Aso Candle Night celebrates its 6th year in 2025.

The event began as a way to support the recovery and revitalization of the Aso region after the major earthquake in 2016, and during the pandemic it became a rare and meaningful chance for friends and families—including mine—to enjoy an evening out together.

After being held at the Aso Milk Factory in Uchinomaki for the past two years (2023–2024), the event is returning to its original location this year — Kosugi Resort in Otohime, Aso.

Event Period

November 29 (Sat) – December 14 (Sun)
Open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during this period

Hours

18:00 – 21:00
Check-in: 17:30 – 20:30

Admission

  • 1,500 yen (same-day ticket)
  • 1,000 yen (advance ticket)
  • Free for children up to junior high school age
  • 500 yen for high school students (student ID required)

 

We hope you’ll come and experience the gentle glow of thousands of candles lighting up the winter nights in Aso.
