Annual April 13 Walking Tour – Fire Walking Festival

Celebrate one of Aso’s most significant annual traditions with a guided walking tour held in conjunction with the Aso Kannon Festival on April 13th.

Led by a knowledgeable local guide from the Bochu area, this tour offers a unique opportunity to explore the history and cultural heritage of Aso, the Bochu district, and Saigandenji Temple..

Multilingual support is available via an AI translation system, making this experience accessible and enjoyable for international visitors.

Event Details

This is a walking event.
Participants are kindly asked to wear comfortable, suitable walking shoes.

  • Route: Primarily flat, paved roads with some stairs
  • Distance: Approximately 2 km (subject to change)
  • Weather: Held rain or shine (please bring rain gear if necessary)
  • Please bring your own drinks
